Clearing Cache / History / Auto Complete Passwords![]() From the Tools menu, Choose Clear Private Data. ![]() You can clear several different records, most importantly Cookies, History, Temporary Internet Files, and Auto Complete Passwords To clear the selected item, just check mark the item and click Clear Private Data. Changing what the browser is allowed to run/display (images, flash, pop-ups)![]() From the Tools menu, Choose Options ![]() In Content You can choose to manage if you want to allow Java, Images, or Pop-ups ![]() In Privacy You can choose to accept cookies or not Browser Security![]() The Page Info in the tools menu can provide information about a specific web page ![]() Specifically page info can tell you how many times you have been to a page, if the website is storing any information about you in the cookies it leaves behind and if you have a saved password for the particular page If you click VIEW SAVED PASSWORDS, the password will be displayed in plain text so you can read it ![]() From the Tools menu, Choose Options ![]() In Privacy You can choose to accept cookies or not and manage how FireFox handles personal data ![]() In Security You can prompt the system to warn you when certain actions occur You can also manage your passwords for sites If you click Saved Passwords... ![]() The system will show you which websites you have a saved password for and what the user name is You can choose to remove a password, or by clicking on Show Passwords, you can see what your passwords are Changing the home page![]() From the Tools menu, Choose Options ![]() In Main You can type in the exact URL you want for your home page You can choose to use the current page in your active browsing window Viewing the Source Code of a file![]() From the View menu, Choose Page Source The system will autolaunch a new window with the source code for the website Favorite pages/ Bookmarks![]() From the Bookmarks menu, you can view all of your favorites Add to your favorites Or organize your favorites ![]() In the organization area, you can rename things Move them into folders Create new folders And delete old bookmarks that you no longer need You can also make a backup or restore an older version of your bookmarks Bookmarks can be shared between browser programs or computers using import and export A few options and Features![]() From the Tools menu, choose Add-ons ![]() From here you can get new extentions, plugins and themes that allow you to customize all sorts of features for FireFox. ![]() For website builders and programers, there is a Java Console and an Error Console in Tools ![]() The Error Console allows one to view any errors or problems firefox encountered in the code of a website |
