DreamMail Version 4.4 Email Tutorial:Creating a New Email AccountMaking Changes to an already Existing Email Account A couple of features Creating a New Email Account![]() If you have never created an email account in DreamMail, the User Configuration will autolaunch. This tutorial will create a single user account. Click Finish ![]() Your Name can be anything you want it to be Click Next ![]() Your Email Address should be your entire email address You can allow the system to attempt to auto configure. To ensure to most correct settings, this tutorial covers manual configuration. Uncheck mark the box. Click Next
Account will depend on your email provider. Most email providers use the full email address as the account name This system only auto fills in the first portion so you may have to change it. Enter your email password Click Next
Choose if what type of an email account you are setting up. This tutorial covers a POP account Enter the Incoming/Receiving (POP3) mail server your email provider lists Enter the Outgoing/Sending (SMTP) mail server your email provider lists This system auto fills in the area based on the email address so you may have to change it. Check mark the box if your outgoing (SMTP) server requires authentication Click Next
Choose how you would like to manage mail on the server Click Next
Choose Other Options to view all the advanced settings
Verify the information, then click on Server
Here you can set the advanced settings such as the port numbers Click OK
Test the account to make sure everything works
Once the test finishes, Click Close
Click Finish Making Changes to an already existing email account
To change an existing account, from the Tools menu, choose Account Management
To add a new email account, Click New and follow the above wizard account walk through. To change an email account, select the account and click Properties
Make changes to the email address and password here
In Server Make changes to the mail server, port number and authentication Mail Features
From the tools menu, choose options
DreamMail allows you to back up your email files. Set a reminder
Receive allows you to choose how often to pick up mail messages and what type of alert you want
DreamMail has it's own junk mail filtering system
You can require a password for using DreamMail to block others from opening your mail program and reading your email
