What you need to set up your email.
  • Email address - bob@example.com

  • Email password - password

  • Name of incoming mail server - pop.example.com

  • Name of outgoinging mail server - smtp.example.com

  • Incoming mail port - default port for pop is 110

  • Outgoing mail port - default port for pop is 25

  • any required authentication / encryption

  • type of mail POP / IMAP

    Open the entourage program
    From the TOOLS menu, choose Accounts
    entourage
    Choose NEW to add an new email account
    If you are making changes to an existing account
    choose EDIT

    If you are setting up a new account
    choose a name for your email account

    Enter the account name or full email address
    (Double check with your provider what they want you to use)
    Enter your email address
    Account ID should be the account name or full email address
    (What you use for Account ID is determined by your provider)
    Enter the incoming mail server
    Enter your password
    Enter the outgoing mail server
    If you need to set specific preferences,
    click the advanced button under receiving / sending mail for the options
    Click OK

    FOR MAC OSX

    Choose NEW to add an new email account
    If you are making changes to an existing account
    choose EDIT

    Choose a name for your email account.

    Enter your email address
    entourage
    Most email accounts use POP, some are IMAP-
    (If you do not know, ask your provider)
    Enter the incoming mail server
    Enter the outgoing mail server

    entourage
    Account ID should be the account name or full email address
    (What you use for Account ID is determined by your provider)
    Enter your password
    If you need to set up special preferences such as a port #
    Click the configure account manually

    entourage
    Once you have finished entering the information, press the finish button.
